The 15th National Games officially commenced on 9/11! On that day, members of the Central and Western District and local residents gathered at the 'Live Viewing Station for the 15th National Games' in the Sai Ying Pun Community Complex to watch the live broadcast of the opening ceremony, marking the beginning of this significant sporting event.
This year's National Games, jointly hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau for the first time, is a highly anticipated event across the city. The community hall of the Sai Ying Pun Community Complex has been transformed into a cozy and relaxing cheering zone where families and friends can sit on the floor and enjoy the live broadcasts of the competitions together, while children are free to move around on the hall's mats, significantly enhancing the viewing experience for all. The atmosphere at the viewing station was enthusiastic last night during the live broadcast of the opening ceremony, especially when the Hong Kong SAR delegation entered the arena, eliciting cheerful shouts and applause from both adults and children in support of our athletes.
The 'Live Viewing Station @ Central and Western District' is jointly organized by the Organizing Committee of the 14th Central and Western District Sports Festival, the Central and Western District Civil Affairs Department, the Central and Western District Council, and the Central and Western District Recreation and Sports Council, showing full support for the 15th National Games, promoting 'Sports for All,' and encouraging enthusiastic participation from citizens of all ages to foster healthy living habits.
